Take twelve whole months.
Clean them thoroughly of all bitterness,
hate, and jealousy.
Make them just as fresh and clean as possible.
Now cut each month into twenty-eight, thirty, or
thirty-one different parts,
but don't make up the whole batch at once.
Prepare it one day at a time out of these ingredients.
Mix well into each day one part of faith,
one part of patience, one part of courage,
and one part of work.
Add to each day one part of hope,
faithfulness, generosity, and kindness.
Blend with one part prayer, one part meditation,
and one good deed.
Season the whole with a dash of good spirits,
a sprinkle of fun, a pinch of play,
and a cupful of good humor.
Pour all of this into a vessel of love.
Cook thoroughly over radiant joy,
garnish with a smile,
and serve with quietness, unselfishness,
and cheerfulness.
You're bound to have a happy & Prosperous New Year 2008.

If you have a Web site that’s designed to convert visitors into sales then you really should take a look at the words you use – especially verbs.
Verbs are words of action, and since you want your visitors to take some kind of action on your site, you’ll want to pay close attention to what you say and how you say it.
Get Rid of Boring Verbs
Like adjectives, verbs can also create visual pictures in a person’s mind. Take the next two sentences as an example:
John fixed the engine. It’s simple, straightforward and boring.
Instead try: John wrenched and ratcheted the engine until it roared to life. See the difference? In the second sentence we get a different mental image. It’s an image of someone fixing the engine with grit, sweat and determination.
Hyperlinks and Calls to Action
Whenever you employ either hyperlinks or calls to action in your web copy, your desire is usually for the reader to do something specific. These devices demand that you use good writing in order to get results.
Most of you have seen calls to action that say: CLICK HERE, right? Well that’s not only terribly overused, but terribly boring as well.
The key is to pair your action words with a benefit to the reader. Instead of just telling someone to click onto something else, tell them what they’re getting if they do.
For example: Sign up here for more tips on making money with your Web site. Or “Click to find out about our new Web design offers”.
You can’t simply hope that people are going to do what you want them to do, you have to give them a command and then a benefit, or reward, for doing so.
Words are the primary tools that marketers have used for decades to entice people to buy, and they’re even more important on the web. Today’s web-surfer doesn’t read the same way people did back when newspapers and magazines were king. If you don’t hook them, they’ll most likely move on, never to return.
